Your taste

Your taste profile:
what you really like.

Recommendations are only as good as what they know about you. VinoSomm builds a taste profile from your tastings that sharpens with every glass, and shows you what you're actually into.

VinoSomm App: Taste profile

How it works.

Sweetness, acidity, tannin, body: good wine has many dimensions, and everyone weights them differently. VinoSomm translates your tastings into a profile across eight axes. The more you rate, the more accurately the app lands, and eventually you understand for yourself why you like one Riesling and not another.

Step 1

Taste wines and rate them

Every rating feeds your profile. Even a simple thumbs-up helps the app understand you better.

Step 2

Your profile sharpens

VinoSomm condenses your ratings into a taste picture on eight axes, split by white, red and sparkling. The band around the line shows how confident your sommelier already is on each dimension: narrow means calibrated, wide means it's still getting to know you here. And once enough tastings add up, you unlock your own graphs per grape, and even for the combination of grape and region.

Step 3

Recommendations land better

With every glass the suggestions get more personal, because the app knows more precisely what you're looking for.

Common questions.

How many wines do I have to rate?
Even a few ratings give a first profile. It gets more accurate with every glass. There's no minimum before it starts working.
What are the eight axes?
Dimensions like sweetness, acidity, tannin, body, alcohol, intensity, finish and complexity. Together they form your taste picture.
Can others see my profile?
Your profile is yours. For the group feature you can deliberately share it with friends. Otherwise it stays private.
