How it works.

For most people, a shelf of a hundred bottles is a wall of names that say nothing. The VinoSomm wine scanner turns it into a clear recommendation: point the camera at the label, tap, done. The app reads the label, matches it against a database of more than a million wines, and translates the result into a language you actually understand.

Step 1

Photograph the label

Point the camera at the bottle. VinoSomm reads the winery, vintage and grape straight off the label, often right in the live preview, before you even tap.

Step 2

Matched to your taste

The recognized wine is scored against your personal taste profile. You see a match value that tells you how well the bottle fits you.

Step 3

Understand why

Instead of jargon you get two sentences of reasoning: why the wine fits and what it tastes like. Clear enough to decide with confidence.

Common questions.

Do I need to know the wine to scan it?
No. That's exactly the point: you point the camera at an unknown bottle, and VinoSomm tells you what it is and whether it fits you.
Does it work with small growers too?
Yes. The database covers more than a million wines, including those far off the big brands. If a label isn't recognized, you can ask the sommelier chat directly.
What happens to my photos?
The photo is used to recognize the wine. You can find the details in our privacy policy.

Point the camera at it.
Your sommelier does the rest.
